Taqueria Mexico in Harker Heights

Love this place! Not just for Tex-Mex fare but they make a dang-good breakfast too! Pancakes, eggs & bacon are delicious, dare-I-say better than IHOP!!! Lots to choose from on the menu, breakfast served all day, I've ordered dinner entrees at 6am and it was great!! This is my go-to for quick and hardy meals!

Ordered a week ago and they gave me shrimp Diablo instead of chicken Diablo fajitas. Ordered again tonight and I got plain chicken fajitas instead of the Diablo fajitas I ordered. The tortillas were rock hard both times. Not sure why they're so bad lately but I'm done. Spent $60 both times and I'm so disappointed. We won't be going back again.

On June 27th I called in an order for 10 tacos and rice. When they tried to charge me almost $55 I asked them how much for the tacos and how much for the rice? They were charging me $12 for each 32 oz rice! I told them to delete the rice and I placed a call to their sister location in Killeen. They charged me just under $7 per rice! I've been to that Harker Heights location several times and always felt like I was getting ripped off. There padding the bill! Too bad I can't give 0 stars because I would. That one on veterans memorial is far better anyway. I hope the owner reads this. Now I'm done going to all of his Mexican restaurants.

Ate here for the first time. I love the food here. I got the taco plate and was highly satisfied. Plenty of food for the price. Staff was nice and I never had to wait for anything that I needed.

From the fast friendly service, to the complete accuracy of my difficult order. My beef fajita was perfectly seared year juicy and tender. Will definitely be back!

This restaurant hits the spot every time. The food is SO good, the wait isn’t long, and the staff is friendly. Of all the Mexican restaurants in the Killeen / HH area, I definitely have to say this Taqueria Mexico is the best. The California nachos are one of our favorites. Charlie was running the drive through when I stopped by and he was super polite and quick! I definitely recommend this place!

I would love to rate the food, but we didn't get any. We sat for 15 minutes (no exaggeration), and nobody would even make eye contact. We left when the party that came in after us was given menus. I told the manager why we were leaving, and all he said was, "Thank you for letting me know. I'll talk to them. Are those your keys?" No customer service. Literally. We went to Mas Fajitas.

This was my first visit. I had the beef fajitas. Great food. Good service. Inviting atmosphere.

Love the food and the prices of this restaurant. The service is really good too. Even when we do taco salads at home, I drive over to get their fresh taco bowls 😋.

The margaritas and michelada definitely left me wanting more as they did not satisfy the craving I had. The michelada tasted like a pre-made mix and the margarita mango chamoy tasted more syrupy than alcohol. I enjoyed my tacos but my partner did not enjoy his pastor as it lacked flavor

I love their food. They listen to you and make sure your order is correct.

I ordered by phone yesterday.I ordered nachos which were good.I also ordered a BBQ burrito with no tomatoes or avocado. They had tomatoes.I have been eating food a long time (longer than they've been open and I never eat tomatoes.I had to pick through it to eat it which was less enjoyable but I have no intention of setting foot in this place again.They had their one shot for a first impression and they blew it.I was hoping to find a decent Mexican restaurant in the area but I guess I will have to keep looking.Hopefully I will be successful.Of course we as customers are forced to give at least one star in order to give a review but this is not worthy of one star.

Ordered drive through breakfast and the food was made to order. It took slightly longer to prepare but it was delicious, the tacos were very filling, and they gave us plenty of salsa.

This is one of the better Mexican restaurants I've found in the area so far. I come here to buy my employees lunch sometimes. Great burritos.

Had a great meal, mini tacos (pastor) and flautas. Also had to throw in some dos Equis in the frosted mugs to wind down for the day!

Great food! I've got steak quesadilla chicken quesadilla and a cheese quesadilla it was delicious. I have food restrictions and this restaurant accommodated my food restrictions. Giving me pork free items as I requested and letting me know which items on the menu did have pork in them.

Love this place go here all the time! Food is good, staff is super sweet. Sometimes a little busy and you will have to wait but, well worth it. If you haven't tried it, I would recommend it.

The Tex-Mex here never disappoints and this place has the most colorful decor of any restaurant in the area. I recommend the Migas!

Great authentic Mexican food staff very friendly and attentive. Guacamole was fresh and we'll seasoned, taqueria plate excellent and the chicken tostata was a meal in itself. The large beer is massive. Only thing from keeping it a 5 star was the mess up on the queso but they made it right. You must try this place

It was very good.

The worst restaurant to buy tamarind drinks, I bought three to go and when I got home and I drank some, it made me want to throw up.I don't even want to think about where they get the water they're making their drinks or their meals. I even wonder if the owners eat or drink anything from their restaurant.

Went during happy hour with my wife. Was charged full price for our drinks. Asked server Aimee about the price and she said it was correct.

The drive thru is quick and food is handed to you hot. Good food, friendly staff this has been my preferred spot for carne sada :)

Go for the molcajete! This thing can feed three people easily and is just crammed with flavor. Food presentation is what you would expect and the drinks are average. Our server was dynamite and refreshingly friendly. The kitchen is too open and the ventilation isn't what it should be. One random dish changed the smell and visibility of the entire restaurant. That's the only reason it's a 4.

My family and I love going there. I'm from New Mexico and this is the closest to Authentic Mexico food I could find. Great place, clean, and wonderful people. Thank you

Noone in the restaurant wears masks it's almost like they dont think there's a virus at all

So basically, I got a egg and Owens sausage breakfast burrito, and uuuuhhhh. There was egg shell in my burrito. The burrito was okay, but the eggshell lost it for me. I don’t think I wanna eat here again

So it took several minutes to set us. Several workers were just talking and it was not busy. After we got seated, I ordered a gin and tonic. It was the worst drink I've ever had . Ever ! No alcohol and tastes like just water. Then it took us sitting at the table for 15 or more minutes for anyone to take our order. Mind you, it wasn't busy at all. Chips were over cooked, salad was not good or fresh. Not a good experience, go somewhere else. Oh and did I mention the flying bugs !!!!!!

I have to drive two and a half hours to get Mexican food that tastes like Mexican food. Prices are moderate good quality food and friendly service

We went in tonight for a to go of Menudo. Upon arriving we watched a woman berate a gentleman named Carlos and a female server over how much alcohol was in her drink and other nonsense. The staff remained professional and polite. Although the woman was totally ridiculous they proceeded to be as understanding and calm as can be. Carlos took our order and was kind and polite. Our food was delicious and everything was wonderful! Amazing people!

The food is great! That frozen mango margarita is to die for!! You can tell that it's made with fresh fruit and the atmosphere is very relaxed. :)

The breakfast tacos are ok, the enchiladas are not my favorite but the shrimp plate was pretty good.

MAAAAAN! Not only it's the nearest to my home.... the tacos and margarita here are soooooo bomb!!

Mini tacos are one of my favorites. However every time I get the crispy taco plate with chicken, there is very little meat. I'm not a big eater either, so I'm used to small portions, but its very little meat on the taco. It has happened more than one time.

Awesome service and meal. Smoking hot grilled veggies topped with chicken fajitas.

A place to day drink. Watery chicken fajitas. Day old tortillas. Clear hot sauce in the refried beans. Rock hard chips that hurt your gums and mouth. Clammy Mexican rice. Ditzy juvenile servers and a line cook that thinks he is Azteca. Fake ratings from the Julio crowd. At $15 a plate,, you don't need this. Should be zero stars

Decent food. Service was alright. At one point we’d been waiting for a good ten minutes for a fill on chips and there was all the servers 5 feet away, joking with one another. I’m giving the additional star because the door greeter brought us an additional basket of chips.

The best Mexican restaurant for miles and miles. My wife and I will drive hours if we had to just so we could have this delicious food. Luckily we live a few towns away. We both get the beef enchiladas and iced tea. Top notch food and service. If you are looking for some good food and service. Definitely choose this place.
